Women’s Football Management is pleased to announce that Southstar FC (TX) will host the first international combine supported by the partnership with Women’s Premier Soccer League and Soccer Performance International.
The WPSL – SPI International Combine will be held between 3 and 5 January in Southlake, Texas (United States) at “Bob Jones Park” soccer complex.
“We are thrilled to again be hosting a combine to further the leagues’ goal of helping young women to achieve their dreams,” Sean Jones, WPSL president, said. “We are looking forward to seeing some of the league’s rising stars in Dallas.”
To recruit athletes with the ambition to play in Europe, certified international coached will be present at the event. Among these coaches, Jacopo Leandri (current head coach for the Italian U23 women’s nation team), Samuel Fagerholm (current head coach for Umea IK of Sweden’s second division and has experience with Finland’s U23 women’s national team), Massimo Bonazza (goalkeeping director for the FIGC in the northeast Italian region) of Gatteo-Mare and Geso Strambelli (experienced FIGC goalkeeper coach).
Furthermore, there will be specific training sessions for goalkeepers, complete video analysis for players and an on-site counseling center for playing abroad.
Registration is now open and will close on Dec. 27 or until all registered spots are filled. The showcase will is limited to 40 field players and 10 goalkeepers.
